29 Counts Bio and Other Information
29 Counts was formed in April of 2006 in Upstate New York. With roots from New York to Detroit and beyond, Arne Louison, Eric Walrath, and Corey Gabree started 29 Counts. Frustrated with the local music scene and what was out there, they set out with the hope of translating the music that was collectively in their heads to create a full experience for all to enjoy! With the addition of Matthew Mattice in early 2007, the band began playing around the local scene and writing this music that they envisioned, with the culmination of ideas coming together to pave the way for the band's first release on Montabon Records, "Man Down".
As they moved forward to promote this collection of work, musical careers and life changed rapidly and Matt and Corey decided to go on their separate ways. Eric and Arne stilled forged ahead with trying to do the vision of 29 Counts justice and to continue to make the music that they originally set out to make.
As time went on, 29 Counts added Paul Tracey and Chris Krantz to the line-up. Two additions that proved worthy to help shape the band to what it is today. Eventually Mr. Krantz wished for warmer weather and headed out West.
Towards the end of 2009, Chris Valdeon joined the lineup as the Lead Guitarist. And in the beginning of 2010, Paul Tracey decided to move on to work on other projects. We wish him well in his endeavors.
In March of 2010, Todd Hildebrandt joined 29 Counts to fill the bass player position.
These days you can find 29 Counts in the studio doing pre-production for their upcoming yet to be titled release.
